Here's a fun project I did a few weeks ago. I found this china cabinet at our local Restore and thought it would look great painted. I used chalk paint which I had never used before. I know, I know. We sold it at my store for a few years but I had the ever so talented Barbara Moustafa painting all the furniture at that time.
I'm pleased with the result and it was a nice break from painting on canvas. It cost about $250 and that's including the materials.
It looks great in our living room - large scale and lots of room for display.
Provence meets beach house. It works.
What Lies Beneath
I love collecting baskets. I love collecting a lot of things. Baskets are great for storage, adding texture and informality to a room. They are practical and beautiful.
On this little basket makeover, I used my scissors. What a difference!
The last photo shows some of my recent finds. One can never have enough.
